Some of my favorite sessions happen on the beach. I couldn’t think of a better session to blog for my first real blog post than this recent family session in Seagrove Beach. If you stick around here, you will quickly learn that my favorite place to visit or spend a weekend is 30A! It really is the most beautiful place, and I love that each little town along 30A has its own charm.

I was so thrilled when Courtney reached out and inquired about a family session in Seagrove! Her sweet family was on vacation, and she wanted some photos of her family at the beach. I knew the second I met her and her husband that we were going to have a great evening. Her kids were so sweet and so much fun! Courtney told me that she didn’t care much about having the typical family photo of everyone looking and smiling. She wanted photos that showed their real life. Photos of the kids laughing and playing, her and her husband sneaking in a quick kiss. So I spent the next hour playing on the beach, watching the sunset, and capturing their little moments in between.

This is why we had the best time – because this is what I love capturing. The real life moments. The ones that happen so fast you might miss them if you are not careful.

Now, I do love a photo of everyone smiling and looking at the camera at least once, and I do try to get that every session. But the photos I love the most are the ones that show how life really is each day – the pretty and the messy. The ones that have a good story that goes with them. The ones that really make you smile or even tear up.

When our memory fails us, a picture can remind us. When we want to relive a moment over and over, a picture can help us do that. I’m here anytime to capture your special moments so you can keep them with you long after those moments end.
